Beautifully positioned
Situated on Bognor’s picturesque Esplanade, the Hotel is perfectly placed for visitors to visit the many local sites of historic importance – including Arundel Castle. The South Downs with the Weald and Downland Museum offer marvellous walks; history buffs will love Fishbourne Roman Palace, the quaint seaside tidal village of Bosham - and the Isle of Wight is a short car and ferry journey away.
The City of Portsmouth a little way along the coast offers a maritime cornucopia, including Nelson’s flagship, HMS Victory and the Mary Rose as well as substantial shopping at Gunwharf Quays. The Quays also boast the landmark Spinnaker Tower, offering spectacular views across the waterfront. We are ideally placed for you to enjoy Glorious Goodwood and the Festival of Speed – as well as historic Goodwood House and an excellent attached golf course. Racing buffs will also enjoy the close proximity of Fontwell.
For the more relaxed tourist, Arundel offers the tranquillity of Swanbourne Lake, as well as the beauty of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. An ancient cathedral and the contrasting modern Festival Theatre as well as a rich source of up-market independent shopping can all be found in neighbouring Chichester. By way of contrast, there is plenty for children to get up to in neighbouring Littlehampton’s Harbour Park alongside the award-winning East Beach.
The Royal Norfolk is well positioned on the road and rail network for easy access - and is just a short stroll from the centre of Bognor. Visitors from out of area will be delighted to discover how simple the hotel is to find and, once found, how easy it is to park.
