You may find it at one of these:

• Need ideas that will translate to smaller plots? Then try the renouned Denmans Garden
• Troubled by chalky soil, or just want to see a unique garden? Then a visit to Highdown Gardens will be a must. The gardens contain a unique collection of plants and are located in an old chalk pit.
• The Edward James Foundation maintains West Dean Gardens which have a wonderful range of glasshouse fruits, special events, and much more besides.
• Parnham House has fine gardens as well.
• If you like scent in your garden then the NW corner of Hotham Park in Bognor Regis hosts the National Collection of Lathyrus (Sweet Peas and the like).

There are a variety of local garden centres and also specialists such as:

• Apuldram Roses a leading rose nursery growing over 400 varieties.
• Fuschias Galore at Tawny Nurseries, Birdham, who offer over 1,000 varieties.
• Specialist orchid grower Orchid Answers, also based in Birdham.
• Croftway Nursury in Barnham who specialise in hardy perennials, especially geraniums and iris.
